1. What This Extension Does
ALISAVPN.CC Browser Extension is a proxy client that routes your browser traffic through ALISAVPN.CC proxy servers. It allows you to enable or disable the proxy with one click and exclude specific websites from being routed through the proxy.
2. Data We Collect
The extension collects and stores the following data locally in your browser only (via chrome.storage.local):
- Authentication token — a JWT token issued by alisavpn.cc to verify your subscription. Stored locally, never shared with third parties.
- Selected proxy server — which server you chose to connect through.
- Bypass list — domains you excluded from proxy routing. This list never leaves your browser.
- Proxy connection state — whether the proxy is currently enabled or disabled.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not log the websites you visit through the proxy.
- We do not collect personal information beyond what is needed for authentication.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts in the extension.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
4. Why We Need These Permissions
- proxy — core functionality: configures Chrome to route traffic through our proxy servers.
- webRequestAuthProvider — automatically provides proxy authentication credentials so you do not see login popups.
- storage — stores your preferences (selected server, bypass list, auth token) locally in the browser.
- tabs — reads the current tab URL to display the domain name in the bypass toggle.
- alarms — periodically checks your subscription status (every 30 minutes).
- Host permissions (all URLs) — the proxy must handle all URLs to route traffic. The bypass list allows you to exclude specific domains.
5. Network Requests
The extension makes the following network requests:
- alisavpn.cc/bff/v1/extension/servers — fetches the list of available proxy servers (requires authentication).
- alisavpn.cc/bff/v1/extension/status — checks your subscription status.
- alisavpn.cc/bff/v1/extension/auth/token — obtains an authentication token (called once during login).
All requests are made over HTTPS to alisavpn.cc only. No data is sent to any other domain.
6. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Your authentication token is a standard JWT with a 7-day expiration. Proxy server credentials are stored in memory only and are not persisted to disk. The bypass list is stored locally and can be exported/imported as a JSON file by you.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete all extension data at any time by clicking "Logout" in the extension popup, or by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
8. Children
This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
